Is it weird that Turistas gives me the itch to travel to a place unknown?

We watched this movie last night.  A total low-budget film starring Josh Duhamel (a bit distracting in a way, because throughout the entire film I kept thinking, “Fergie, really?”).  Basically it’s about a bunch of gringoes down in Brazil on vacation, but the vacation gets cut short rather quickly when the locals decide they want to cut up their bodies for their healthy organs that they can sell at a high price.  It sounds gruesome, but was actually a decent and entertaining movie.

I have been getting the itch to travel more and more lately; been browsing the internet for flights to somewhere third-worldish, somewhere I haven’t been, somewhere that English is not a common language spoken.  South America is on this list, and I can’t decide if I am crazy to want to go there all the more after watching this movie.  I guess part of me likes the idea of traveling somewhere that I am not in complete control of what may happen, I suppose since I am a control freak on a day-to-day basis at home.  I will take the bus rides that take 5 hours more than they are supposed to, or the unexpected beach I may fall upon when the bus breaks down in the middle of nowhere.  I will not drink something that has been opened and may have been drugged, however, at least I would like to think so.
